Artist Statement
My work is a profound immersion into the invisible architecture of existence, a pictorial dialogue between consciousness, universal energy, and sacred geometry. Through acrylic, in both monumental and intimate formats, I translate the meditative journey inward and the interconnection between the micro and the macro, energetic vortices, and cycles of regeneration.
Each canvas or wall emerges as a vibrant portal, built upon a fusion of dynamic abstraction and figurative precision. My palette, often intense and high-impact, or subtly iridescent and metallic, seeks to activate a deep resonance, inviting the viewer into an experience of expansion and self-knowledge. My art serves as a catalyst for reconnecting with the essential self, transforming space into a mirror of spiritual life and its infinite dimensions.
My Artistic Journey
I was born in Buenos Aires in 1981, and my connection with drawing and painting blossomed from childhood. My first art studies, between the ages of 7 and 12, laid the foundations for a journey that is now the cornerstone of my existence. This passion led me to the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA) of Argentina, an institution historically recognized internationally for the quality of its education and the talented professionals who have emerged from it, where I deepened my training in the Bachelor of Visual Arts.
From 2008 to 2025 (from ages 27 to 44), my works carried the signature Vayu. Today, I celebrate a new chapter, signing my creations as Pedro Honeker Gallinger, a tribute to my roots, incorporating ancestral lineages, both masculine and feminine, into my artistic signature.
My creative process is directly nourished by nature, that vast sanctuary that surrounds me. I paint in diverse environments –forests, beaches, mountains, waterfalls, lagoons, fields– allowing the sounds, plants, light, and vital force of the surroundings to be captured in every brushstroke. This deep bond with the Earth, along with my constant self-observation through various self-knowledge experiences, are the source of my works. My art is a living prayer, and each piece is born in profound states of inner connection, with clear energetic purposes. An example of this intention is that the work inspires the viewer to connect with their spiritual heart, which is why I like to call my creations "InsPirituals": art that inspires the spirit.
A facet that deeply fascinates me is the creation of personalized paintings or "soul paintings." Through online or in-person meetings with clients worldwide, I establish a bridge of empathy and understanding. The client shares their intention, the energy they want the painting to transmit, their dreams, and desires. My process involves connecting deeply with the spirit of that person to paint an exclusive work. These pieces become valuable treasures, a reflection of the soul, a focal point of light, and a talisman that accompanies and inspires their daily life. After years in this process, I have discovered that painting for a single being is, in essence, painting for all humanity, because in that profound connection with an individual, the interconnectedness that unites us all is revealed.
My practice expands from easel painting, where I materialize concepts and ideas about dimensions, fractals, and sacred geometry, to large-format murals in private homes, cultural centers, businesses, and institutions. These provide me with a unique freedom of expression, allowing me to convey a singular intensity and dynamism. For all of this, my preferred medium is acrylic, which I master with skill to create both vibrant abstractions and detailed figurative and realistic representations, employing intense chromatic palettes and the luminosity of iridescent and metallic colors.
Influenced by universal principles –"As above, so below; as below, so above; as within, so without; as without, so within"– my art transcends borders. My paintings and murals have been acquired by private collections, institutions, and companies in over 20 countries. Among them are: United States, Canada, Germany, India, Singapore, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Venezuela, and Mexico.
